Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
About Essential Light Therapy
Does LED therapy require FDA clearance or approval?
The FDA has made it clear that LED light is classified as "ordinary light" and not subject to the same regulations that Lasers are. LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are different from laser diodes and are not subject to the Federal laser product performance standard; therefore, LED light does not require FDA clearance or approval.
An ordinary source of visible light, like the sun or a light bulb, emits a mixture of invisible and visible light like waves. These waves have varying lengths and move in all directions. These differing “wavelengths” produce different types of light, such as ultraviolet, violet, blue, green, red and infrared.

What can my Patients/Clients expect during an Essential Light Therapy session?
Your Patient/Client will be measured and then will lie down on a treatment table. Our Essential LED Light Therapy pads will be positioned in strategic places on their body. Then they can just relax and enjoy a 20-30 minute session while listening to meditative music or silence.
How does Essential Light Therapy work?
There are over 10,000 LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) which have “wavelengths” that produce different types of light that are emitted causing fat cell membranes to temporarily alter the permeability of the cell wall. This brief change allows some of the fat contents to drain out to where it can then be processed by the body.
What happens to the fat?
The fat is released and broken down into free fatty acids and glycerol; thus, entering the blood stream. Once in the blood stream, the fatty acids can be either be used as fuel or quickly eliminated by the body.
Why should I recommend liver support to my Patients/Clients?
A high quality liver support is recommended because our liver is the ultimate filter to remove toxins and nutrient byproducts from the body. The fat is released quickly and can sometimes overwhelm the liver; therefore, a high quality liver support is recommended.
What areas of the body can be treated?
The Essential Light Therapy treatment can be effectively used on essentially every part of the body where stubborn fat deposits exist that are resistant to diet and exercise. This includes the chin, upper arms, waist, hips, back (Love Handles), and thighs.
What are the side effects or risk involved in using Essential Light Therapy?
There are no known side effects or risk involved in using Essential Light Therapy. Compared to invasive procedures such as traditional liposuction and cool sculpting, which cause swelling, bruising and/or scarring that could take weeks to heal. Essential Light Therapy is considered to be an extremely safe alternative and is 100% non-invasive.
Do my Patients/Clients have to follow a diet?
No changes are necessary, but your Patients/Clients can expect better results if they reduce their caloric intake somewhat, eat unprocessed food (real food), and increase their water consumption to 8-10 glasses a day. In addition, reducing alcohol and soda consumption will benefit the liver.
Do my Patients/Clients have to exercise?
Each of your Patient/Client’s sessions should be followed by at least 10 minutes of exercise to stimulate circulation and help burn the fat that has been released. The Whole Body Vibration machine is recommended in office, right after the treatment, due to the fact that most people will be returning to their busy schedules.
Does Essential Light Therapy help with cellulite and loose skin?
Patients/Clients undergoing Essential Light Therapy have noticed an improvement with cellulite, as well as texture and skin tone.
Not to be confused with laser, the LED Light Therapy was originally developed to fast-track the healing of wounds and post surgery scars. The rejuvenation of healthy skin, too, was a happy coincidence.
The most abundant protein in our bodies is Collagen, especially type-1 collagen. It’s found in muscles, tendons, bones, skin, blood vessels, and our digestive system. Along with replacing dead skin cells, Collagen is what helps give our skin strength and elasticity. When it comes to our joints and tendons, it’s the “glue” that helps hold our bodies together.
Has any research been done?
